For band thickness, you should prefer one-thousandth of the pulley diameter of your machine in band saw machines operating at high speed. For example, with a roll diameter of 500 mm, the sheet thickness is 0.50 mm maximum. Slightly thicker blades can only be used on slow-running machines. If you are cutting valuable material, 0.36 mm / 0.40 mm thickness is recommended for less waste. |
